Sykes Assistance Services is pleased to participate in the Conference Board of Canada's Health Summit 2014: Aging, Chronic Disease, and Wellness October 23rd and 24th in Toronto.
The 2014 Summit, will focus on two interrelated issues that represent the most complex challenges to system sustainability and that will affect the health of all Canadians, now and in the future:
- The system is misaligned with an aging population
- The current delivery model is ill-equipped to address chronic care and prevention
Sykes Assistance Services will be teaming up with Karim Keshavjee MD, MBA, CEO of Infoclin to share the findings from our recent qualitative exploration of team based primary care delivery. The topic of our presentation is Creating a Virtual Primary Care Team and will explore the use of virtual telehealth solutions to help create economies of scale for multidisciplinary primary care teams. By moving beyond a bricks and mortar environment we hope to show a glimpse of what could be possible in supporting people regardless of where they live or when they need access to "prepared and proactive primary care teams".
